Nicky's Page

On May 9th, 2005, after a long battle with kidney failure, I lost my Nicky boy. Nicky had been diagnosed with the onset of kidney failure almost a year prior. The last six months was hard, but he lived his life to the fullest (just like a Schipperke!) to the last day. He was on daily subcutaneous fluids as well as Ipogen, and various other medications, but he was still as kooky as ever and a love bug.

I got Nicky in 1997 through Schipperke Rescue - someone had owned him and kept him in a kennel 24/7. He was always a quirky, sweet doggie. He loved to bark at sirens and loud noises, and antagonize his bossy sister Pua.

Nicky, you will be missed, but never forgotten.
