Pua, Nicky and Lani are my
three nutty Schipperkes...
Pua was born on May 14th, 1993,
I got Nicky through Schipperke
Rescue in July of 1997
(he was born some time in 1994),
Lani was born on February 14th,
1998, and I
got Keko in June of 2005.
They live in the San Francisco Bay
area.
The word Pua means
flower in Hawaiian. As it turned out,
Pua is not flowery
at all and I should have named her Pua'a
which means pig.
Pua is much more pig-like. She (like some
other Schips) snorts
a lot and is very food-motivated.
Nicky is a four year old neutered
male, and is as sweet as can be!
Poor Nicky is just like Eyeore
the character from Winnie the Pooh
...but he is all the more
lovable for it!! Sadly, Nicky went to the Rainbow
bridge in May of 2005 - he
is missed!
I got Lani from Helbender Kennels
in Alberta,
Canada.
Lani's registered name is
Helbender's Hahana Kaikamahine
(Helbender's Hot Girl)...Lani's
nickname is
Lani monster...because she is
:-)
Keko
came into my life in June of 2005 - her name means Monkey in Hawaiian
and
she is just that - a MONKEY! She is a crazy little puppy who
keep
Pua and Lani on their toes every second!
